Den citerade gamle miljökämpen och aktivisten David Bellamy uttrycker sig även så här i artikeln, ”David Bellamy: Global Warming Is Nonsense” i brittiska Daily Express:
The ice caps are actually getting bigger. Two thousand years ago, the Romans were growing red grapes on the Scottish border and we had another very warm period in the Middle Ages. [...] There was less carbon dioxide being put out then so how can CO2 be the driver of climate change? It’s cyclical. In the last mini ice-age, which ended around 1850, the Thames used to freeze solid and we’re heading for another cool-down now. I’ve seen evidence that says there has not been a rise in global temperature since 1998, despite the increase in carbon dioxide being pumped into the atmosphere. This makes me think the global warmers are telling lies.
